March Madness

We've had a crazy March with snowstorms and missed classes but that didn't stop us from having lots of fun and exploring new things and ideas inside and outside. Here are a few things we've been trying and loving!

Miss Amanda made us an I-Spy bulletin board which we LOVE! It's become a class favorite for sure.

There's been a renewed interest in the fish this month! They're so pretty and the snails are a cool addition! This is exciting as we'll be learning more about Ocean Life in April!

We only had the bowling pins for awhile but it was fun to explore with them and learn more about taking turns and working together!

A big shot of the bulletin board with three explorers! What can you see?

Crafts again were a favorite! Though bird day was a snow storm day and all we got to do was this craft and listen for birds outside we're excited to get to do it again in April and explore even more about Birds.

Farm Week

We had a great time learning all about the farm this month! We played with animals in dirt and hay, musical farm animals, and made "muddy" pigs with paint. We also talked about our favorite farm fruits and veggies and our favorite animals. These two days were so jam packed with fun that we took lots of photos to share our fun and enthusiasm!

Kyla playing with the cows in the hay. We were so excited to see hay and dirt!

Freeze on an animal and then dance as that animal until the music stops again!

So many fun animals we could be!

Lily's very muddy pig.

It's so hard to pick a favorite animal! It was fun to see that all our friends have a different favorite farm animal.

We played guess the animal where Miss Amanda pulled off strips of paper one at a time to reveal a farm animal and we had to try to guess it before she showed us the whole picture! These kids are great guessers!

The kids loved exploring with the horseshoes!

Zach trying to put together a farm puzzle.

The kids were so excited to work on the puzzle that they used teamwork to get it finished which was awesome!

Vivianne with her cool chicken!

We played a game with animal dice! Here we are rolling like a pig in the mud!

Hop like a bunny!

We also played chicken egg and spoon race! It was a great test of balance and determination!

The kids had fun going forwards, backwards, and sideways on the way to Miss Amanda.

Carrots were the majority favorite farm fruit or veggie!

Ava working on her beautiful farm!

These kids put a lot of work into making a cool farm just like we'd heard about all week!

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day was so much fun! We had a blast learning about leprechauns and lucky clovers. We also played fun games with special green coins and had a special leprechaun snack! That silly trickster turned our water green! After snack we played find the shamrock and found our lost coins in green shaving cream and a special green "potion" (baking soda and vinegar). What a great holiday!

Dylan searching for leprechaun treasure.

We made puffy paint shamrocks and they looked so cool!

Shaela doing a great job on her shamrock!

The tricky leprechaun hid some gold coins for us to find!

Vivianne tossing her found coin into Miss Amanda's pot.

When we found all the coins Miss Amanda tossed them around the room for us to catch but after a few tosses the leprechaun changed them into gold coins which had chocolate inside!! We loved that silly leprechaun.

Dr. Seuss

Today was all about Dr. Seuss! We did a "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" craft together. We played with blocks with Dr. Seuss characters on them and took turns knocking them over with a bean bag!  Ms. Amanda read "Green Eggs and Ham" during snack because we had "Green eggs and Ham" for snack!  After snack we played pin the fish on the fish bowl and toss the ball in the hat! We could also make a cool Cat in the Hat craft.  What a fun day!

Our yummy snack! Some of the kids were put off by the green eggs but once they tried them they loved them! Just like in the story.

Jada with a winning toss!

Zach's fish doing a flip!

Aven stacking the blocks for her friends. What a great help!
